Nearly thirty years after its founding, INFRARAIL is going through the strongest growth in its history, with a model of its own: producing and laying railway track in Algeria, with Algerian skills.
Since it was founded by SNTF on 10 October 1997, INFRARAIL has been built one work site after another, in the service of the national railway network. Today our company brings together 1,977 employees, six plants, four quarries and a fleet of track and public works machinery that we have never stopped renewing.
Joining the Railway Construction Group in May 2024 opened a new chapter. It strengthens our position as a railway construction, maintenance and modernisation company, and commits us to the major projects entrusted to us by the public authorities: the Béchar – Tindouf and Khenchela – Aïn Beïda lines, the doubling of the Eastern mining line between Annaba and Bouchegouf, the Tébessa bypass and the connection of grain silos to the rail network.
Our strength lies in an integrated model: we extract ballast from our quarries, we manufacture concrete sleepers and insulated glued joints in our plants, we weld 288-metre long rails at Bouti Sayeh, and we lay and maintain the track with our own teams. In 2024, this organisation brought our turnover to 17 billion dinars, more than twice the previous year.
This growth carries obligations. It rests on values shared by every member of our staff: customer satisfaction, proven know-how, meeting deadlines and the continuous improvement of our performance, within a QHSE management system certified since 2009 to ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
Our ambition is clear: to be a leading player in large-scale railway projects, to promote the national production base and to help create thousands of jobs. We stand ready to meet the objectives of the public authorities and to support our partners, with the same rigour, on every kilometre of track.
